How is Australian work immigration scored?
Work immigration to Australia is done using a points system. If you get 65 points in this system, you can take the necessary steps to apply for a work visa.
The items on which your score is measured are:
Age
If you are between 18 and 24 years old, you get 25 points, between 25 and 32 years old you get 30 points, between 33 and 39 years old you get 25 points and between 40 and 44 years old you get 15 points.
degree of education
A diploma, associate or professional technical degree is equivalent to 10 points, a bachelor’s or master’s degree is 15 points, and a doctoral degree is 20 points.
Work Experience
If your relevant work experience outside of Australia is three to four years in the last ten years, you get 5 points, five to seven years 10 points, and more than eight years 15 points.
If you have work experience in Australia, this scoring is different. A work experience of one to two years has 5 points, three to four years has 10 points, five to seven years has 15 points, and more than eight years has 20 points.
English language degree
The minimum required score for IELTS is six. If your score is seven, you have 10 points, and with a score of eight, you get 20 points
marital status
If you are single, you get 10 points. If you are married and your spouse has a positive evaluation and IELTS 6, your score is 10. If your spouse only has IELTS 6, you will get 5 points.
State sponsor
For the 491 Australia visa, you get 15 points if you get an invitation from a state with a small population or your first-degree relative, and for the 190 Australia visa, you get 5 points if you have a state invitation.
