What is Australia’s investment visa scoring system?
Australia takes factors into account to score visa applicants based on which people have a final score and the higher their score, the more chance they have of getting a visa. We examine the important factors that are effective for scoring in the Australian investment visa below:
Age
If your age is between 18 and 24, you get 25 points, between 25 and 32 you get 30 points, between 33 and 39 you get 25 points, between 40 and 44 you get 15 points. No points are given to the age range between 45 and 49 years.
degree of education
If you have a doctoral degree, you will get 20 points, bachelor’s or master’s degree 15 points, and master’s degree or diploma 10 points.
Work Experience
If your work experience outside of Australia is between 3 and 4 years, you will get 5 points, between 5 and 7 years, 10 points, and between 8 and 10 years, you will get 15 points. A work experience of less than 3 years does not have any points.
If your work experience in Australia is between 1 and 2 years, you will get 5 points, between 3 and 4 years, 10 points, between 5 and 7 years, 15 points, and if it is between 8 and 10 years, you will get 20 points. A work experience of less than 1 year does not have any points.
English language
If your IELTS score is 8, you will get 20 points and if your score is 7, you will get 10 points. A score of 6 has no points.
